In 2013 the Park Ridge Public Library will celebrate 100 years of service to the community, and a special committee is already at work preparing an exciting line of programs and special events to take place throughout the year.

To celebrate the official anniversary kick-off in November 2012, the Library will release a commemorative calendar, filled with historic photographs from its archives. A thousand of these calendars will be distributed at the Library’s annual Holiday Open House.

Businesses and community organizations are invited to be a part of this project by becoming sponsors. For $300, a 2 ¾” x 4 ½” advertising space will be available for each month on the calendar, along with a limited number of business card-sized ads available for $75 on the inside cover. Proceeds from sponsorships will be used to offset printing costs.

The names of each sponsoring business or organization will also appear in the Library’s newsletter and on the website.

“The Library holds a special place in the community and I think it’s going to be a great year,” says Library Director Janet Van De Carr. “We encourage local businesses and other groups to be a part of it.”
