Pedestrian, Park Ridge Woman Dies After Fatal Crash

A 51-year-old Park Ridge woman died after a fatal accident in Park Ridge on Wednesday.

 

Police and fire from both Park Ridge and Des Plaines responded to the scene of an accident at the intersection of Oakton Street and Busse Highway on Wednesday around 8:23 p.m.

When they arrived, they found a female lying in the roadway near the northeast corner of Oakton Street and Busse Highway.

According to police, Suzanne Palincsar, 51, of Park Ridge, died as a result of the accident. She was pronounced dead shortly after being transported to Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.

The driver who struck the pedestrian did not flee, and stopped near the scene of the accident, police said.

The Park Ridge Police Department Major Crash Unit is currently conducting an investigation and no further information is available at this time. If new details come in, Patch will update.
