Park Ridge City Council to Discuss Uptown TIF; Park District Offers Summer Family Carnival

There's plenty to do in Park Ridge this week. Here's a look ahead at some of the highlights:

Monday, July 22 – The Park Ridge City Council's Committee of the Whole will meet to discuss several issues including the Uptown TIF Strategic plan. 505 Butler Place, 7 p.m.

Wednesday, July 24 – All Ages are welcome to join the Park Ridge Park District for an outdoor, fun-filled family event. Carnival rides, games, entertainment, food, face painting, and much more. Concessions include hot dogs, nachos,cotton candy, pop, water, and candy. Centennial Park, 100 S. Western Avenue, 5 p.m.

Friday, July 26 – Concert in the Park. The Park Ridge Fine Arts Symphony will perform at Hodges Park in front of city hall at 505 Butler Place. Concert will begin at 8 p.m.

Saturday, July 27 – Enjoy a day down on the farm in Park Ridge. Park Ridge Park District event features a petting zoo with 20 animals, pig races, games, bingo, crafts, activities, $5 pony rides, 50¢ hay rides, food, drinks, and lemonade shake-ups and cotton candy for sale. Wildwood Nature Center, 529 Forestview, noon.
