Centennial Pool Celebration & Groundbreaking Party

The Park Ridge Park District will celebrate nearly 60 years of Centennial Pool with a groundbreaking ceremony for the new pool on Sunday, August 11, from 2pm – 3pm at Centennial Park.

Join the Park Board Commissioners and Park District staff for a short groundbreaking ceremony and take the opportunity to learn more about all the exciting features that will be a part of the new pool next summer.

To the first 500 children, staff will pass out a tube of ‘H2O to Go’---water from Centennial Pool and are asked to bring it back on opening day to pour into the new pool! Participants must either be a Park Ridge Park District pool pass holder or pay the daily fee.

Arrive early and enjoy Pirate Day at the pool from 12:30pm to 4:30pm. Pirates will be taking over Centennial Pool and kids will search for “Pirate Booty”, participate in peg-leg races, and more high seas fun! All ages are welcome and the event is free with a current pool pass or daily fee.
