MCYAF in What Choices Will You Make?

Maine Community Youth Assistance Foundation will co-sponsor "What Choices Will You Make" with the Park Ridge Chamber of Commerce Health Forum sponsored by Presence Resurrection Health. The night is aimed at parents and children ages 11-15 who will be making transitions to Middle School and High School Freshman Year. Speakers for the parents include: Carrie Goldman, a renowned expert on bullying, Officer Mike Luehr from the Park Ridge Police Dept, Carrie, an ER nurse with Presence and Dr. Teri Collins, Executive Director of MCYAF. Topics covered will be bullying, drug and alcohol abuse prevention, and consequences of bad choices. The middle school and freshman students who attend will listen to a panel of high school students who have made good choices throughout their high school years and be able to ask them questions about going to school at the next level and what life was like for them.
Pizza and music will start at 6:30 at Mary Seat of Wisdom Barry Gym in Park Ridge. The gym is accessible off of Clifton Avenue, one block west of Cumberland. The event is free and open to the public.
