REPRESENTATIVE MCAULIFFE FIRST TO FILE PETITIONS FOR RE-ELECTION

(Chicago, IL)- November 25, 2013- State Representative Michael McAuliffe (R-Chicago) made his plans for reelection official today by filing the maximum number of signatures required to earn a spot on the ballot for the March primary election.

Rep. McAuliffe filed this morning at 8:00am with the State Board of Elections in Springfield, the tenth candidate in the state to file for election.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to continue to be a strong and effective advocate for the families, seniors and individuals of the 20th district,” says McAuliffe. “As a father of two children and a lifelong resident of the 20th district, I will continue to be a champion for public policy that keeps our families safe, boosts our economy, supports our educational system, protects our seniors and provides the foundation for our community to thrive.”

Rep. McAuliffe is a full time legislator in the 20th district that includes sections of Chicago’s 41st ward, Park Ridge, Franklin Park, Schiller Park, Rosemont, Des Plaines, Niles, Norridge and Harwood Heights.
