Teschky Grabs Top Ballot Position for Committeeman Race

Maine Township Supervisor Carol A. Teschky filed her nominating petitions with the maximum of 1175 signatures today at the Office of David Orr, Cook County Clerk.

She filed to be on the Republican ballot for Maine Township Committeeman to lead the local GOP efforts in the future. As an unpaid political position, the Committeeman’s duties include recruiting candidates to run for public office, raising funds for campaigns, and organizing GOP efforts to get Republicans elected in local, regional, state and national elections.

As a result of filing first, Teschky will be listed in the top spot on the March, 2014 ballot. She said, “I was pleased to file on the first hour of the first day and look forward to a spirited campaign to bring the GOP back to prominence in local politics.”
