Maine South and Maine East High Schools in Park Ridge host famed guest artist Rachel Barton Pine as she visits both schools on today, February 10th. Ms. Barton Pine will meet orchestra students of teachers Rebecca Oppenheim at Maine South and Sarah Djordjevic at Maine East.
Acclaimed for her dedication to students, Rachel immerses herself in engaging with young people wherever she goes, from demonstrating string technique to jamming on heavy metal music. "We are thrilled that a person of Rachel Barton Pine's stature is coming to Maine East. Our students are excited to meet her and hear her play. It's an honor to have her as our guest" says Dr. Michael Pressler, Principal of Maine East High School.
