Deals Abound At Park Ridge Sidewalk Sales

Park Ridge's sidewalk sales continue in Uptown through Sunday.

Park Ridge's sidewalk sales kicked off Wednesday, offering discount prices to Uptown shoppers.

"We do great sales here. We don't mess around," said Amy DeGrazio, owner of New Prospects, 110 S. Prospect Avenue.

DeGrazio said the retail shop had a wide selection of deals, including a 25 percent off preseason sale on Northface winter jackets.

"It's basically a flea market with brand names," said DeGrazio. "These are the best prices of the year."

Hill's Hallmark, 19 S. Propsect Ave., had a large sidewalk display up featuring a wide variety of deals. The store featured numerous seasonal items – Christmas, Halloween, Easter – marked down by as much as 75 percent.

Outside of the , 5 S. Prospect Avenue, movie posters were for sale.

"So far so good, the weather has been great," said Elaina Bonacci, co-owner of , 7 S. Prospect Avenue.

Bonacci said her deals included some dresses and tops priced as low as $14. She also had some jewelry marked down by 50 percent.

"When the [Taste of Park Ridge] gets going, things will really kick into high gear," Bonacci said.

The and lasts through Saturday while the sidewalk sales continue through Sunday. The Taste of Park Ridge is locate near the at the corner of Summit and Prospect Avenues.
