The Robot House
We had lived in Park Ridge for a little over a year. My 'techy' engineer husband returned from his morning walk through the neighborhood. He was excited to tell me about a cool orange robot sign he saw. He mentioned that under the robot picture was an arrow pointing to a fairly large, newer home. I was familiar with the street, but I thought I would have remembered a robot sign. Intrigued, we were coming up with theories behind the sign wondering if the owner built robots. A week later he was driving past the house with our eight year old daughter and showed it to her. Sadly, his bubble was burst when our daughter saw it and said 'Dad, that's not a robot on the sign, it's a fire hydrant!'
