raise funds to help support the continuation and impact of HGS’s programs
through a silent auction.

WHO: HGS
has been a safe haven for women and children since 1859, over 154 years, making
it one of the oldest ongoing missions in Chicago.
Its goal is to promote the healing and recovery of women and children
victimized by domestic violence, as well as empower them to live thriving lives
free of poverty and abuse. HGS’s comprehensive program strives to break the
cycle of violence in families through education, counseling, job and financial
training, after-school enrichment activities for children, and ongoing family
support services. HGS is a tax-exempt charitable organization funded entirely by individual gifts,
foundation and corporate grants, and support from its Women’s Board.
