Mary Duric Meihofer, Park Ridge, age 56, passed away August 8, 2013.
Beloved wife of Kurt for more than 33 years. Loving mother of Nicole and Alexandra. Dear sister of Angie (Sam) Lazich and Nick (Milena) Duric.
Devoted aunt of Lily (Mileko) Dra...gin, Tina (Billy) Anderson, Samantha Lazich and Mark, Marissa and Nina Duric. Adoring great-aunt of Simo, Aleks, Nina, Mara, Cassie, and Marko.
Preceded in death by her parents Marko and Joka Duric.
Mary will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her kind and generous heart filled her home with love, fun, family and friends. She was a beautiful person and a wonderful mother who raised her children with traditions, morals, and principles to be strong and independent.
A lifetime member of Holy Resurrection Cathedral. Mary was dedicated to her faith and active in the Serbian Community. Mary volunteered her time and energy in the service of others and served on the board of The National Prevention of Child Abuse.
Mary was a member of The circle of Serbian Sisters and served on the committee for Holy Resurrection Cathedral’s Centennial and was a member of The Women's Chetnik Organization. She especially enjoyed joining her husband and daughters in the city for evenings of laughter and sharing, vacationing with family in Fountain Hills, AZ and Marko Island, FL.
She had recently traveled to Serbia with family to experience her heritage and connect with relatives.
