Park Ridge Blotter: Cyber Stalking

DUI
Jesus Terrazas, 23, of Des Plaines, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on Feb. 28. Terrazas was stopped near the intersection of Ballard Road and Greenwood Avenue around 12:30 a.m. His court date is March 10.
Disorderly conduct

Veronica Cortez, 36, of Park Ridge, was charged with disorderly conduct on March 1. Cortez was arrested in the 1200 block of Tyrell around 4:13 a.m., police said.
Warrant arrest

Brian Ashcroft, 31, of Park Ridge, was taken into custody due to an outstanding warrant on March 2, police said. Ashcroft was charged with cyber stalking and was arrested in the 1900 block of Touhy Avenue around 12 p.m., the report stated.
On Jan. 9, Ashcroft was charged with cyber stalking and arrested in the 1000 block of Home Street.
According to police, Ashcroft sent more than 1,000 social media or text messages to the victim, some of which were inappropriate.
He would also call the woman from her backyard and ask her to look outside while partially clothed, police said. Officers made the arrest the same day as the complaint.
