Park Ridge Blotter: Burglary, Theft, Smashed Car Windows

The following arrest information was supplied by the Park Ridge Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Attempted burglary

Police responded to an attempted burglary in the 700 block of Parkwood Avenue on Sept. 14. While the intruder(s) didn't gain access, there were pry marks on a door leading into the residence.

Burglary

Police responded to a burglary in the 300 block of Northwest Highway on Sept. 17. According to the report, multiple electrical equipment was taken.

Officers responded to a second burglary in the 300 block of Northwest Highway on Sept. 17. This time, however, a portable generator was reported missing, police said.

Cash and several pieces of jewelry were reported missing from a home in the 800 block of Brookline Lane on Sept. 19. The culprit(s) gained access through an open window on the side of the home, the report stated.

Theft from auto

An unknown amount of cash was removed from a car parked in the 100 block of Fairview on Sept. 14.

Damage to auto

A car parked in the 200 block of Cuttriss Street was reported vandalized on Sept. 14. According to the report, unknown means were used to damage a rear view mirror.

The rear window of a Toyota sedan parked in the 1100 block of Washington Street was smashed out on Sept. 15.

The rear window of a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Albion Street was reported smashed out on Sept. 17.

Another car parked in the 200 block of Vine Avenue had its rear window smashed out on Sept. 17.

Egging

A car parked in the 2200 block of Farrell Street had its tires slashed and exterior egged on Sept. 17.

Theft

Three unsecured bicycles were reported stolen from a home in the 100 block of Grace Street on Sept. 7.

Soccer mom robbed

Two car bench seats, soccer balls, uniforms, orange cones and jumper cables were reported stolen from a van parked in the 100 block of Western Avenue on Sept. 18.

Wheelin' and dealin'

Several wheel covers were removed from a Toyota Prius parked in the 1400 block of Linden Avenue on Sept. 20.

Retail theft

A business owner in the 1900 block of Cumberland Avenue told police that an unknown person removed three bottles of liquor from his store and left without paying on Sept. 15.
