Park Ridge Gets Former Morris Police Chief

A former police chief in Morris and Minooka is now overseeing the Park Ridge Police Department's community service officers.

Former Morris Police Chief Doug Hayse will serve at Park Ridge's new community service officer coordinator, the Park Ridge Sun-Times reports. Hayse, who also worked at police chief in Minooka, start in July. He replaces Carol Brown, who retired.

Hayse retired from Morris in 2007 after working there for 16 years as chief. He then went to work for Minooka. He came out of retirement again to take this position, which will have him overseeing the department's unsworn community service officers. He also will oversee seized property, taxi inspections, animal complaints and more, the publication reports. His salary will be $62,300.
