Park Ridge Man Charged in Bicyclist's Death

A Park Ridge man charged in the death of a bicyclist was released after his family posted his bond, WGN reported.

Ryan San Hamel, 29, was charged with aggravated DUI in the crash that killed bicyclist Robert Cann, 26, the TV station reported. The incident happened in the 1300 block of North Clybourn in Chicago on May 30.

San Hamel also is charged with reckless homicide, CBS Chicago reported.

The Chicago Tribune reported that Cann worked at Groupon Inc. and was an avid bicyclist. The crash happened at about 6:35 p.m. when San Hamel's Mercedes sedan struck Cann, the newspaper reported.
