Park Ridge Police Issue 64 Tickets, Make 3 DUI Arrests

The Park Ridge Police department used a state grant to increase patrols for the Fourth of July.

The Park Ridge Police Department used a state grant to boost traffic patrols from June 22 through July 4.

A press release from the department states that Park Ridge had extra officers on duty each day to enforce seatbelt and child safety requirements and to focus on intoxicated motorists.

"The results from this campaign, show that the department staffed 66 hours with 14 Saturation Enforcement Zones," the press release states.

The results of the enforcement were:

  • 3 DUI arrests
  • 10 occupant restraint citations
  • Two child safety seat citations
  • 52 other citations

"This important program is another example of how the police department strives to make roadways in our community safer," the press release states.
