You have got to be kidding me, 5 years and $3,319 in fines? REALLY? Such a small price to pay for a life!
MK March 23, 2013 at 02:44 pm
Hey, leave the Russians out of this! :) These guys are from Moldova or Romania or something.
b garrett March 23, 2013 at 04:24 pm
Chicago and suburbs are FULL of Romanians. The hacker criminal kings.... Along with Russia and china.
John L March 23, 2013 at 04:39 pm
Seriously JC? 3 nuts attack a police officer doing his job, and put him in the hospital; and you use teaching of evolution in Romanian schools to translate this into a shot at republicans??
Sandra Sims March 23, 2013 at 05:14 pm
Since b garrett used the story as a chance to blame "liberal democrats", I think he was just responding in kind. Then again, responding to known imbeciles and teabaggers is never constructive.
Sully March 23, 2013 at 05:32 pm
B. is obviously a God fearing Amuricun patriot who just wants his country back. You know, the country where only white male Protestants had rights, blacks were slaves, and women stayed pregnant.

" In our defense, ve thought shiny blue and red lights means thrash in what you mericans call mosh pit? Crazy police man get in way of wild game we play called kick soccer ball into little kids heads. Did not mean to get caught in middle of game you mericans call politics"...Three Romanians.
dan arenov March 23, 2013 at 07:43 pm
@JC.... and which party is to blame for the laws in Illinois that parole prisoners far too early?
you know those mean Republicans want violent criminals to serve their full sentences, but the oh so compassionate Democrats want them back on the streets.
Sully March 23, 2013 at 08:40 pm
Really? Do you have an example, Dan. Now who was it that pardoned a convicted killer allowing him to kill again? It's just on the tip of my tongue.
Sully March 23, 2013 at 08:44 pm
Oh wait - make that four pardons for convicted killers. Gosh, what IS his name?
Sully March 23, 2013 at 08:46 pm
Sorry Dan. If you're going to make asinine comments, at least know a little bit about what you're saying.
Sully March 23, 2013 at 08:53 pm
Oh dang- I forgot about another high profile governor who unwisely used the pardon. Dan? What could have happened? These were two well known high profile republicans who let convicted felons just walk out of jail. Hmm. Don't know if you've heard of either one, but their names are Barbour and Huckabee. Ring any bells?
OldSchoolAmerican March 24, 2013 at 03:20 am
I agree with you and the majority of your comments, foreigners especially Romanian eastern European types ( my friend is a policeman and he said even the new breed of Polish people are causing most of the crime on Chicagos near north & Northwest side) they and Romanians come here to steal, plunder, scam & cheat. They still have allegiance to the crap country that they ran from and still call it "their country" while they're here mooching and stealing and cheating. Not like the old days when immigrants were proud to be here. What kind of animals would endanger kids and be like that? I hope the three punks get time for doing that to the policeman.
OldSchoolAmerican March 24, 2013 at 03:22 am
Can you believe AOL actually has tech support from Romania!!! Talk about the fox in the hen house.

Weed stays in your system for a month. If it becomes legal, how can anyone tell when a person smoked it? If someone causes an accident and kills someone (such as Goma), they will get nailed for a DUI if they smoked weed inside of a month.
Procrustes' Foil March 24, 2013 at 08:59 am
Hold your horses, Vicky. That driver was on amphetamines, which are far more dangerous than weed.
Procrustes' Foil March 24, 2013 at 09:04 am
Also, Vicky, it's nice to see another early riser. Watching the sunrise is a joy.
Vicky Kujawa March 24, 2013 at 03:06 pm
The driver was positive for both weed and speed per the article. Amphetamine stays in your system 1-3 days, and weed about a month. So, my point is, that it is technically possible that she hadn't done drugs in three days, but got a DUI anyway. If weed is legalized, how will this little snag be sorted out? BTW weed causes congestive heart failure. My 47 year old "pot is natural" weed-smoking friend just discovered that after a weeklong stay in intensive care. She came out swearing to quit after the doctor there TOLD her about the CHF link. Three weeks later, back on the weed. Please don't give me the cock-and-bull about weed not being a health risk or addictive, because I have seen otherwise on more than one occasion. The habitual users are slovenly, forgetful, overweight, unhealthy and have definitely amounted to less than their potential in life.
Vicky Kujawa March 24, 2013 at 03:10 pm
Sully, I recall Quinn unloading a few thugs out of prison a couple of years ago to 'save money'. Only thing is they were the wrong people, and one of them murdered someone inside of 24 hours of his release. At least the Democrats are busy trying to take away the second amendment rights of law-abiding citizens while they allow garbage like this out on the streets.

Whether that girl had pot or uppers in her system she still killed (murdered) a small child! Does anyone ever think what that little boys family is going thru? The terrible heart ache that they will have to deal with for the rest of their
Lives. This "murderer" should get life in prison!
