In unofficial results it appears the Park Ridge Park District referendum for the Youth Campus has passed.

The Parks referendum still has strong support and looks like it will pass. For Park board commissioners Joan Bende is currently the top vote getter with Richard Biagi, Richard Brandt, and James Phillips leading for the other three board positions.

The referendum looks like its going to pass: 1,000 vote lead for yes with only 6 precincts to go.

With 20 of 32 precincts reporting, the park referendum supporters are up by about 700 votes.

The Park Referendum is close with the yes votes leading by about 200 – 1,348 to 1,143

With just two precincts reporting, voters are so far supporting the Youth Campus referendum.

Voters will decide the Park Ridge Park District's referendum on the redevelopment of the 11.35 acres Youth Campus property at 733 N. Prospect Avenue.

If approved by voters in Niles and Park Ridge, the park district would borrow about $13.2 million to acquire the property and redevelop it. Voters also will elect a new park board. Six candidates are vying for four seats.
