Kotowski has always been a major advocate for gun control. The 28th District Senator sponsored a bill to ban the possession of high-capacity gun magazines, which passed the Senate committee. His views are in line with Gov. Pat Quinn, who called for a ban on assault rifles and limitations on ammunition magazines in his State of the State address last week, the Herald reports.
