Maine South Grad Wins National Award for Editorial Cartoon
Adrian Adamiec received 2nd place in the 2012 National Scholastic Press Association Cartooning Awards.
A Maine South High School graduate has received a national award for an editorial cartoon he drew, the Niles Herald-Spectator reports.
Adrian Adamiec drew the cartoon of Mitt Romney in a boxing ring with Rick Santorum during the 2012 primary elections. The cartoon won 2nd place in the 2012 National Scholastic Press Association Cartooning Awards. Adamiec now attends Loyola University of Chicago, the newspaper reports.
