Fremd Grad Scott Tolzien becomes Bonafide Green Bay QB

Did you catch Fremd High School graduate Scott Tolzien play his first game for the Green Bay Packers last Sunday?

Fremd High School graduate Scott Tolzien made his debut quarterbacking for the Green Bay Packers on Sunday after injuries sidelined two other players.

A former third-string QB for the San Francisco 49ers, Sunday marked the first time Tolzien, 26, has played in a regular season game, reported USA Today in a story that includes "9 Things You Need to Know" about the local boy made good.

Despite losing to the Philadelphia Eagles (27-13) on Sunday, Packers Head Coach Mike McCarthy said Tolzien "played as well as could be expected," according to Green Bay's website. 

In fact, Tolzien will start for the Packers vs the New York Giants on Sunday, Nov. 17.
