This will be the final week that Centennial Park pool is open before construction on a new pool begins, according to the Park Ridge Park District.
Visitors to the pool this week will find some restricted areas as final preparations for the reconstruction begin. On Aug. 18 the pool will stay open until 10 p.m. for its final day. "Centennial Pool will close and demolition will begin on or about August 21 for the new Centennial Pool," the park district web site states.
The park district web site states that pool pass holders will be able to swim at other park district community pools.
