In the May 16th Suntimes, the charges were dropped against the students who were involved because their peers (victims) didn't want to press charges. So are these kids saying it wasn't as bad as they claimed? If that's the case what is the coach being charged for? Did the coach force his team to hold down other students on the team and sodomize them? They interviewed 100 people regarding the …   more ›

Maine South Soccer Player Signs With Wisconsin

Sydney McGinnis, a junior who plays with an elite soccer club, had her first game this weekend after sitting out 18 months with an ACL injury.

For a 17-year-old soccer player, sitting out for a year and a half with an ACL injury feels like forever. So Sydney McGinnis, a Maine South junior who plays with the Eclipse Select Soccer Club, was pretty happy to play her first competitive games in a long time this weekend.  She played about 15 minutes in Saturday's game, and about 30 minutes in Sunday's. Earlier: Hawkettes win community service award Jackie Graney, who coaches the Hawkettes at Maine South, owns Studio 22, and the district's policy bars employees from "recruiting students to participate in private business-type activities operated by an employee of the district …

Not ill-informed, well informed. And no, my daughter was not one of the kids kicked off the team, but it was "suggested" she join Studio 22 if she wanted to "increase" her chances of making Hawkettes. Don't the girls already get the benefit of Ms. Graney's coaching everyday at practice without also having to pay to be at her studio? As for the comment about parents also paying for things like …   more ›
