Dogs From Cruelty Incident Up For Adoption
One has been placed in a home; two others will be available to adopt in a couple weeks, according to the rescue organization.
The following arrest information was supplied by the Des Plaines Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction. Three dogs taken into custody by police after multiple witnesses reported seeing a Des Plaines man punching one of the dogs in front of his residence on June 7 are transitioning to new homes. James Robert Wesolaski, 51, of Des Plaines, was charged with aggravated cruelty, and, told police, according to the report, he got into a fight with his dog because it ran out the front door, and he said, “I’m done being nice.” A judge ordered the dogs to be surrendered to Des Plaines police animal control on June 19, and they have since been matched with a nonprofit rescue organization that specializes in small dogs, Chris’ Rescue …
